Installation:
Copy the script file to your After Effects ScriptUI Panels folder:

• Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects [version]\Support Files\Scripts\ScriptUI Panels\
• Mac: /Applications/Adobe After Effects [version]/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/

Access via Window menu > Line Em Up

Note: Version 1.0 is the initial release of this precision alignment tool . The script’s intuitive controls make it easy to create perfectly aligned compositions without manual guesswork .

Dynamically line up different style text layers and non-text layers!

Line Em Up will apply expressions to a group of selected text layers and distribute them horizontally or vertically. With the option to align the layers as well. Changing the text or scale of one layer affects the position of other layers in the group!  And with text layers, changing the visibility of the layers will also alter the positions.

Simply select the layers in the order you wish to have them lined up, choose the direction you want them to go in (or auto-center), hit the Line Em Up button and they will automatically be lined up!  With additional slider  controls to adjust the whole group or individual spacing.   Handy for making MOGRTs or when using Essential Graphics to change type.
