Installation:
Copy the script file to your After Effects ScriptUI Panels folder:

• Mac: /Applications/Adobe After Effects [version]/Scripts/ScriptUI Panels/

Access via Window menu > Shape Motion

Easily create motion in various shapes (circles, rectangles, polygons, hearts, etc…) and animate their properties.

Shape Motion lets you easily create motion paths in various shapes (circles, rectangles, polygons, hearts, etc…) and animate their properties

Instructions:

1. Choose a layer you want to animate
2. Select the Layer Name if you want to animate it’s position
   • Choose Position
3. Or select a Property with 2 or more values
   • Choose Custom Property
4. Choose the Motion Type you want
   • Circle
   • Rectangle
   • Multi-Sided Polygon
   • Heart
   • Astroid
   • Loops
5. Click Create Shape Motion
   • There will now be a new Control Null in your composition. This will have all the effects that you can control for your shape

After running the tool, you will be able to animate many parameters of your new shape. These include:

• Radius
• Speed
• Number of Sides
• Easing
• Beginning/Ending Points
• Rotation
• Scale
