Blender Labelling Tool for Blender

The Ultimate Annotation Tool

Download the Blender Labelling Tool addon today. Therefore, you can annotate 3D scenes instantly. Because technical illustrations require precise text placement, you need proper tools. However, manual text parenting takes many frustrating hours. Consequently, this powerful addon solves that problem completely. Furthermore, it provides a fast, automated workflow. Thus, you can create clear diagrams in seconds.

Fast Label Generation

First, the core of this addon is speed. Specifically, it attaches text labels to objects instantly. Furthermore, you can adjust leader lines and arrows easily. Additionally, the tool applies font styling seamlessly. Thus, you can build endless annotation variations quickly. Moreover, you can customize text alignment perfectly. Consequently, your 3D presentations will look highly professional.

Advanced Annotation Management Features

Ultimately, complex scenes require advanced label control. Therefore, this addon includes smart alignment tools. Specifically, you get easy batch updating features. Furthermore, the algorithms preserve object hierarchy perfectly. Additionally, the tools simulate dynamic text wrapping. Consequently, your annotations will look incredibly clean. Thus, the workflow reacts beautifully to your creative input.

Real-Time Optimization and Performance

However, heavy text objects can slow down viewports. Therefore, the addon is perfectly optimized for performance. Specifically, it utilizes efficient native text and curve systems. Consequently, you can process hundreds of labels easily. Meanwhile, your viewport frame rate remains completely stable. Ultimately, this ensures a smooth and fast workflow.

Perfect for Technical Artists

Additionally, this addon is ideal for technical illustrators. Furthermore, it suits architectural visualizers and educators perfectly. Moreover, tutorial creators will love the rapid setup. Ultimately, it accelerates your entire 3D production pipeline.

System Requirements and Formats

Specifically, the addon requires Blender 3.6 or newer. Furthermore, it supports both Cycles and Eevee render engines. Additionally, you get regular free updates from the developer. Therefore, it works across all major operating systems. Moreover, you will need a standard workstation. Thus, 16GB of RAM is highly recommended. Consequently, a modern GPU ensures smooth viewport playback.

Installation and Usage Guide

First, download the zip file from your library. Next, open Blender and go to Edit Preferences. Then, select Add-ons and click Install. After that, enable the Blender Labelling Tool addon. Finally, select your object and add a label. Thus, your annotated scene will be ready quickly.

Future plans

  1. Short-term goals
    • COCO and Pascal VOC support
    • Bounding box data import (Yolo, Coco, Pascal voc)
    • 2d joints, skeleton data
  2. Long-term goals
    • Segmentation labelling
    • Rotated bounding boxes
    • 3d data labelling (point clouds, etc)

Motivation

I always wanted a simple annotation tool that one can just open and start annotating. Should be simple, easy to use, cross-platform and lightweight. Here are the requirements:

  1. Easy to install and cross-platform
  2. Decent playback speed and overall performance
